Today, Aura Collective launched a campaign to support Field Hockey Canada and the “FunStix” Game Development Program.
Aura Collective is Canada’s trusted online seller of fine craft and original art. As part of this campaign, Aura Collective Artistic Advisor Lisa Ridout designed an exclusive "Stix Collection" of handmade, sterling silver, chain jewellery. By wearing these handcrafted pieces, Aura clients celebrate Canadian field hockey as an inclusive, fast paced team sport emphasizing skill and strategy.
Starting today, Aura will make the Stix Collection available to the public. To underline the company’s commitment to this partnership, Aura Collective will donate twenty five percent (25%) of the retail price for any Stix Collection item purchased to Field Hockey Canada. In turn, Field Hockey Canada will promote the Stix Collection at special events as well as on the association’s web site.
Field Hockey Canada actively fosters country-wide grassroots game development at club, elementary school and junior high school levels with the FunStix Program. Through the FunStix Program boys and girls of all skill levels and abilities are introduced to field hockey and the game’s core values of simplicity, fairness, respect, loyalty and team spirit.
"I am thrilled by the Aura Collective campaign in support of Canadian field hockey and the “FunStix” Program because it highlights our sport’s vast and growing national network of learning and competitive players, committed volunteers and passionate fans.” says Field Hockey Canada President, Mary Cicinelli. “I am quite confident that the country’s field hockey community will embrace this high quality, enduring and elegant jewellery collection as a new opportunity to support our sport.”
The exclusive Aura Collective Stix Collection is anchored by a distinctive set of women’s handmade, sterling silver “Flick” bracelet. The bracelet is in turn, complemented by coordinated “Scoop” earrings. Each Stix Collection piece purchased is Canadian made and signed by Lisa Ridout.
"In recalling my high school gym days of playing field hockey, I am filled with admiration for these strong, smart, strategic women and men determined to score goals but disciplined to use a single side of their stick.“ says Lisa Ridout. “I also love the natural fit between field hockey as a traditional sport spanning many cultures and the deep historical roots of my chain-inspired jewellery.”
The Stix Collection represents a unique and timeless look well suited to formal and social activities. As amateur sportspeople, field hockey players embody the perfect balance between work and play. The Stix Collection supports Field Hockey Canada’s continued commitment to offering high quality woman and men’s school, club, national, and international development and competitive programs.
The Aura Collective Field Hockey Canada Stix Collection is now available for purchase online at www.auracollective.com or by calling 1 888 318 AURA (2872).
