ORDERING
When will I receive my order?
When we have the product on-hand, orders ship within 24 hours. While we always seek to exceed your expectations, some pieces are handmade by the artist and the item may take up to one week to ship. In these cases, we will contact you with the expected ship date. You will then have the opportunity to cancel the order. When shipped, the item usually arrives within 1-4 business days.
Do I receive a confirmation email when I order from Aura?
Yes. A confirmation email is sent immediately to the email address provided during checkout. The email will contain all purchase details. A follow-up email containing your tracking number and shipping details will be sent from Canada Post when your item is shipped from Aura.
What taxes apply to my order?
For shipments within Ontario, all orders are subject to 13% HST. Orders to all other Canadian provinces are subject to the prevailing provincial sales tax rate in the province of final delivery.
International orders are not subject to tax. Please note that we are obligated to pay tax on applicable shipping charges.
Do I have to register with Aura Collective to purchase an item?
No.

SHIPPING
What are the shipping costs within Canada?
Free Shipping in Canada. All shipping within Canada is FREE via Canada Post Expedited Parcel (delivery within 1-5 days).
What are the shipping costs to the USA?
Shipping to all US states is a $20.00 flat rate
What are the international shipping costs?
Shipping to international destinations is dependent on location and attracts the prevailing Canada Post rate which is displayed at checkout.
Who is your shipper?
We ship via Canada Post.
Can I track my package?
Yes. Your shipping confirmation email will contain the tracking number from Canada Post. Simply go to the Canada Post “Track a Package” webpage, enter your tracking number, and follow the progress of your shipment.
Is a signature required upon delivery?
Yes, given the value of the products, a signature confirmation will inform us that the package arrived at the destination. If you are not home when the package is delivered, Canada Post will leave a notice with a location for pick-up. The package will not be left at your door.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
Do you accept returns?
Yes, all returns are free within 14 days of purchase. Aura Collective pays all return shipping charges.
What if the item is damaged?
We take great care in packaging your order. We cannot accept returned items with obvious signs of damage unless that damage was incurred during the shipping process – in which case a claim is made with the carrier. Please contact us immediately on toll-free 1-888-318-AURA (2872) if you suspect any shipping damage.
How do I return a purchased item?
Please contact Aura Collective toll-free on 1-888-318-2872 to explain the circumstance and a post-paid return label will be emailed to you. Simply print out the return label on plain sheet of paper, fold the label in half, re-pack the item in a new box (Canada Post will not accept reused boxes with existing labels), affix the return label on the package with the barcode clearly displayed, and drop off the package at any local postal outlet. Aura pays all return shipping costs.
We request that international clients contact Customer Service on 1-888-318-2872 prior to returning the item. We will provide return instructions at this time. We will credit your account with the return postage cost upon receipt and acceptance of the returned item.
Why do you impose a time limit on returns?
Each purchase at Aura has a charity donation component. Aura must withhold the donation to the charity until the return period has expired. Then we make the donation to the charity of your choice. If the item is returned for a refund, the client’s selected charity will not receive the specified donation.
What about exchanges?
We exchange items for free within 14 days of purchase. Simply call us toll-free at 1-888-318-2872 and let us know of your concerns. We will gladly exchange the item for free. The return procedure is the same as the return procedure described above.
DONATIONS
How do I select the charity?
During checkout, you will be asked to select a charity. Simply begin typing in the name of your preferred charity, and the Charity Selection Tool will automatically pull your charity name from our database of 85,000 registered charities in Canada. The charity registration number will also appear confirming your selection.
What is donated to charity?
Aura Collective donates 15% of the purchase value (less taxes) to your charity of choice. During the checkout process, you allocate the payment to any one of the 85,000 registered charities in Canada. The choice of charity is entirely that of the customer. The donation is remitted by Aura Collective from the amount paid during checkout - the donation is NOT added to the sale.
Who donates to charity?
You allocate the donation to the charity of your choice and Aura makes the donation on your behalf.
How does Aura donate to charity?
Aura Collective has partnered with CanadaHelps.org to ensure all donations are processed by a reputable third party. CanadaHelps.org (www.canadahelps.org) is a well-known not-for-profit organization that processes donations to all 85,000 registered charities in Canada.
Is my privacy respected?
Yes. Upon making the donation to CanadaHelps.org, an e-card is sent to you by CanadaHelps.org to confirm the donation has been made to the charity of your choice. Please note that we divulge your email address to CanadaHelps.org on this one occasion. We do not use your name at any time. CanadaHelps.org will not contact you nor use your email address in any way to communicate with you. If you have any questions about this process, please contact us on 1-888-318-2872.
When is the donation made to the charity of my choice?
We process donations weekly, with a 14 day minimum waiting period to ensure items are not returned prior to making the donation to your charity of choice. Typically, the donation is made within 21 days of your purchase.
How will I know that Aura makes the donation?
You will receive an email from CanadaHelps.org when Aura makes the donation. The email will come from CanadaHelps.org – not Aura Collective – so you can be sure the donation has been verified by a trusted third party. Please note that for notification reasons, we need to provide your email address and name to CanadaHelps.org.
What if I don’t know any charities?
You can browse different charities at CanadaHelps.org or support one of our partner charities listed during the checkout process.
CHARITIES
How does my charity participate in the Aura Collective Partner Charity Program?
Partner Charities receive 25% of the retail sales price of all associated Charity Collection sales. Partner Charities are selected by the Aura Collective founders. Please note that Aura Collective can only partner with a small number of charities due to program administration costs.
If your charity would like to participate, please contact us at charities@auracollective.com and we will review your charity for participation in the program.
Are there other ways my charity can benefit from Aura Collective?
Yes. We encourage charities to ask their supporters to purchase items at Aura Collective and direct 15% of the retail sales price to your specific charity. Clients are asked at checkout to direct 15% of the purchase price to a charity of their choice. Please encourage supporters to choose your charity!
Does Aura have any other programs in place to help Canadian charities?
Yes. In the coming weeks we will launch the Aura Collective LinkUp Program. Aura Collective invites all like-minded organizations to enhance websites, extend social circles, and increase revenues by linking to our website.
Aura Collective enjoys a broad circle of community support from our distinguished contributing artists to our discerning customers and our appreciative recipient charities. When our supporters link to our website, Aura Collective says thank you by paying a 5% commission on every purchase that results from a direct referral. Therefore, a supporter coming to the Aura website from your charity website could result in a 20% donation to your charity – 15% as the client’s charity of choice selection (see above) and 5% from the LinkUp Program.
Further benefits and details of the Program will be provided upon application.
Joining the Aura Collective LinkUp program is free, and we handle all tracking and payments. Aura Collective invites all interested charities to contact us at linkup@auracollective.com to register your interest. We will contact interested parties in the coming weeks and advise how they can activate links and start earning commissions.
ARTISTS
As an artist, how do I engage with Aura Collective to sell my work?
Aura Collective believes art is found in any piece created by inspired and skilled fine craft producers. The artist selection process is managed by the Aura Collective Arts Advisory Panel.
All new applicants will receive an information package via email detailing the arrangement and operational procedures. To apply, please send an email to artists@auracollective.com.
PRIVACY
Privacy is a very important issue to Aura Collective, as it is to each of our valued clients. Aura Collective is committed to maintaining the highest standards in on-line privacy. Accordingly, we do not require account registration. We want to make the shopping experience as pleasant and discrete as possible.
Use of Cookies. Aura Collective reserves the right to use cookies or similar electronic tools to collect anonymous information to improve the website for its valued users. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your computer and which collects information about your use of this Web site, such as the Web pages visited, the date and the time of a visit, the Web sites you visited immediately before and after visiting this Web site, etc. Any information collected by the cookies used by Aura Collective would be collected anonymously and would not be used by Aura Collective to subsequently identify you or to prepare the collection, processing, or use of personal information about you. Information Shared with CanadaHelps. Aura Collective seeks to ensure complete transparency in its business and processes. We use a registered Canadian charity called CanadaHelps to process batch donations on behalf of Aura Collective. CanadaHelps, a public charitable foundation (896568417 RR0001), is Canada's only donation portal that provides access to all of Canada's 85,000 registered charities, from national organizations like national cancer charities to smaller groups like local animal shelters and soup kitchens. To maintain transparency, Aura Collective must confirm that a donation has been made to the charity of a client’s choice. Again, to ensure transparency, Aura believes the donation should be confirmed by CanadaHelps. Aura Collective provides the purchasers email address in a secure fashion to CanadaHelps so that an e-card can be sent to the client confirming the donation has been made to the charity of choice. CanadaHelps does not use this information for any purpose other that to send you an e-card confirming the donation. CanadaHelps will not contact the client nor communicate with the client in any way other than the processing of the e-card. The client’s name is not divulged by Aura Collective to CanadaHelps at any time.
Modifications To This Privacy Policy. Aura Collective reserves the right to change this privacy policy at any time by posting revisions on this Web page. Such changes will be effective upon posting.
