One of a kind choker made with two strands of blue Kakamba beads mixed with six assorted 'wedding' beads. Both types of beads were made in the mid 20th C for the African trade. The kakamba beads likely date to the mid 20th C and were made in molds leaving a telltale seam around the centre of each bead, still visible. The 'wedding' beads are also from the mid 20th C and it is told that they were favoured as adornment in Mali during wedding ceremonies. Sterling silver toggle clasp.
