One of a kind choker made of old Venetian glass beads, commonly called 'skunk' beads, mixed with early to mid 20th C Turkoman silver beads from Northern Afghanistan. The 'skunk' beads date from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. They have travelled in their lifetime from the Murano glass factory in Venice to Africa and now to North America. The Turkoman of Central Asia were traditionally nomadic herdsmen, known for their fine silver adornments. Sterling silver toggle clasp.
